Game streaming is Netflix's new bet on expanding its empire launched this week.
Taking advantage of the success of the game series, Netflix launched this week its game streaming service. So are we facing a new market revolution like it was when they extinguished the Blockbuster market?
For now, the service is available only on Android devices (soon for iOS). Nevertheless, I'm sure it won't take us long to get that same experience on TV screens, which takes the fast gaming market to another level of reach and user experience.
"We're just getting started. We're excited to continue improving our mobile gaming experience and adding to our entertainment offering in the months ahead," said Mike Verdu - VP of Game Development.
The service has launched globally at no additional cost to its 200+ million users (Statista) and features five games based on its most popular shows, including fan-favorite Stranger Things.
Does anyone have any doubts that we will soon have Squid Game online games? I am not!
